Religious groups push UK to allow communal worship over Nov lockdown

British Hindu, Sikh and Muslim groups, along with the Archbishop of Canterbury and other faiths, have written to the UK government protesting the shutdown of communal worship during November lockdown

“We have had reaffirmed, through the bitter experience of the last six months, the critical role that faith plays in moments of tremendous crisis and we believe public worship is essential,” they wrote. They say religious buildings ccan be made safe from Coronavirus transmission.
