  • Canadian man Shehroze Chaudhry shocked Canadian and US officials in 2014 with a grisly account of life as an Islamic State enforcer. Now RCMP officers say he was lying and have charged him under “hoax” laws.

  • The Sikh Council UK has new leadership following a vote. It has elected Gurpreet Singh Anand, managing trustee of London's Shepherd's Bush Gurdwara, as its new Secretary General. None of its five office-bearers are women.
