  • WW2 spy Noor Inayat Khan has become the first woman of south Asian descent to get a blue plaque in London, a recognition by English Heritage. She worked in occupied France before being executed by the Nazis.

  • Virgin Atlantic will launch flights to Pakistan from London and Manchester in December 2020. It start with three routes: London Heathrow to Lahore, London Heathrow to Islamabad and Manchester to Islamabad.

  • British officials paid a UK firm more than £50 million to build classrooms in Pakistan in an earthquake zone. But they had to be abandoned over serious flaws, leaving pupils being educated in tents or crammed into existing buildings in the midst of the pandemic. The Times reports today
