The Sikh Federation UK has been running a long campaign to force the Office of National Statistics (ONS) to include Sikhs as an 'ethnic group' (in addition to being a religious group) in the UK Census. Today, a High Court judge threw out their third judicial review, effectively ending the campaign.

The Sikh Federation called the decision "disappointing". The Network of Sikh Organisations welcomed the decision.
