The prominent British peer Lord Ahmed stands accused of exploiting his power to pursue sex with vulnerable women, according to BBC Newsnight.

Two women have come forward to say he invited them to his house in East London after they contacted him for help.

Lord Ahmed, a married man, denies acting inappropriately.

But the former CPS prosecutor Nazir Afzal, who led the case against many grooming gangs, said he had a case to answer.

According to the BBC, one woman complained of his behaviour to the Lords' Commissioner for Standards.

She wrote: "Lord Ahmed used my trust to repeatedly have intercourse with me."

"I feel I have been preyed upon due to my vulnerability and used by Lord Ahmed."
