Sikh Youth leader forces police to remove stall from Gurdwara after confrontation

A group of Sikh activists disrupted a police recruitment stall at a Sikh Gurdwara last week, according to a video posted to YouTube afterwards.

The confrontation was filmed by the group of Sikh activists and purportedly led by Deepa Singh from Sikh Youth UK.

The West Midlands Police recruitment stall had been set up inside the Gurdwara (its not clear which one), with agreement from the committee. But the group tell them "pack up your bags and go" - claiming that West Midlands police were targeting Sikhs.

Some Sikh groups are angry with WMP after the counter-terrorism raids in September 2018. They say WMP is working with Indian intelligence to target Sikhs, after such claims surfaced in Indian media.

A message from the Sikh Youth UK account last week read: "We will NOT be silenced from the deceitful acts that have occurred and led to the torture of Jagtar Singh Johal and the raids on the #FreeJaggiNow campaigners homes. The protests WILL continue."
