Kulveer Ranger and Ruby McGregor-Smith make Conservative shortlist for London Mayor

Two desis have made the shortlist for the Conservative party's candidate for London Mayor.

Conservative Home reported today that Kulveer Ranger and Ruby McGregor-Smith are in the running to take on Sadiq Khan in May 2020.

Kulveer Ranger worked on the delivery of the Oyster card and ran Boris Johnson's transport policy in 2008. He later became his digital strategist.

Indian-born Ruby McGregor-Smith was CEO of the Mitie Group and named one of the FT's top women in business in 2009 and was ennobled in 2015.

Three finalists will be chosen to go before a ballot of Party members in London.
