YouTuber and comedian Lilly Singh broke another big glass ceiling last night.

The American network NBC has signed her up to present a late night talk show, replacing Carson Daly at 1:35am.

It doesn't sound like a big deal but it makes her the only woman to currently host a talk show on any of the four big American TV networks.

Lilly Singh will also the first woman of color in U.S. TV history to host a late-night show.

"An Indian-Canadian woman with her own late night show? Now that is a dream come true," she said in a statement. "I’m thrilled to bring it to life on NBC, and I hope my parents consider this to be as exciting as a grandchild."

She made the announcement on Jimmy Fallon's show last night

'A Little Late with Lilly Singh' will launch in September and will feature in-studio interviews, comedy sketches and other "signature elements".
