The mayor of Luton and two local councillors have apologised after they were pictured breaking lockdown rules at an event.

Mayor Tahir Malik was pictured at an outdoor gathering on 21st July with councillors Waheed Akbar and Asif Masood and about nine other men.

Gatherings of no more than six people from different households are currently allowed.

Local leaders have also warned the town may have to go into lockdown after seeing a spike in local cases.
