How charities are trying to fight forced marriages by raising awareness

Forcing someone to get married against their will is a criminal offence, it carries a maximum sentence of seven years.

But despite this, the number of cases of forced marriages has risen by 80% in the last year in the UK.

A charity set up to help victims of the crime is marking its 25th anniversary with a play based on the real life accounts of survivors, with the hope it will help raise awareness.
