4th September 2018

Hari Kondabolu grew up in one of the most diverse places on earth: Jackson Heights, Queens, New York.

A day before his first standup comedy special was released on Netflix, he took comedian and YouTuber Aamer Rahman on a personal tour of his neighbourhood.

Hari’s comedy is known for its sharp take on race, politics and identity in America. His recent documentary, The Problem With Apu, examines the cultural impact of the Simpsons character Apu Nahasapeemapetilon and the effects of racial stereotyping in film and TV.

Can We Kick It is an online video series hosted by award-winning standup comic Aamer Rahman.
