Amir Khan asked if the UK ever had a woman Prime Minister. Bet he wished he hadn't

Poor Amir Khan, he probably wished he had stayed away from politics now.

The boxer, who is taking part in ITV's reality show I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, ventured into discussing politics last night after the election of Stanley Johnson as the camp's prime minister.

He then asked his fellow contestants, “has there ever been a female prime minister?”. Seems like the election of Theresa May completely slipped him by! Or what about Margaret Thatcher?

Some on Twitter loved it

Others weren't so generous.

But perhaps the most annoyed person last night wasn't Khan at all...

At least the boxer knows no one is going to laugh. And he is providing us all with entertainment too, don't forget that!
